Online Therapy for Trans Women, Sex Workers & Gender-Diverse Clients
Welcome. I'm Maya Price, a trans, neurodivergent integrative therapist offering online therapy for people aged 18+ who are trans women, sex workers, and/or gender-diverse adults seeking a space that is affirming, non-judgmental, and grounded in real-world understanding.
I work with people navigating identity, trauma, burnout, relationships, and long periods of survival — particularly those who are used to being misunderstood, pathologised, or expected to explain themselves. In our work together, you don't need to justify who you are or how you've lived to deserve care.
I offer therapy online to clients worldwide and am available for sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
A Little About Me
I'm a trans woman and neurodivergent person who has navigated my own complex journey - through transition, identity, burnout, and the kind of survival that doesn't always have a neat name. I bring that lived experience into the room with me, not as a script, but as a genuine understanding of what it costs to live authentically in a world that wasn't built for us. I found my way to therapy because it changed my life, and that's why I do this work.
Who I Work With
My practice specialises in working with those who are 18+ and are:
Trans women and trans-feminine people
Sex workers and people with lived experience of sex work
Trans and gender-diverse adults of all genders
Wider LGBTQIA+ community, where it feels like a good fit
I welcome clients at any stage of life, identity exploration, or transition - including those who are still figuring things out or who have complex, non-linear journeys.
What People Come to Therapy For
Clients come to therapy for many reasons, including:
Gender identity exploration and transition-related support
Experiences of stigma, shame, or marginalisation
Trauma, including complex or long-term trauma
Anxiety, depression, OCD, or intrusive thoughts
Burnout, nervous system exhaustion, and long-term stress
Relationship difficulties, boundaries, and attachment
Processing experiences related to sex work, visibility, or safety
You do not need to be broken or in crisis to come to therapy. Wanting support is reason enough.
My Approach & Values
My work is trans-affirming, sex-worker-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-aware, body-positive, and anti-racist.
I work integratively, drawing from:
Person-centred therapy
Inner child work
Transactional analysis
Relational and trauma-informed approaches
I believe therapy should be collaborative, consent-led, and paced to your nervous system - not rushed, interrogative, or moralising. My role is not to fix or judge, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences.
Experience & Professional Background
I bring over 20 years of experience working with:
LGBTQIA+ communities
Neurodivergent individuals
Young people and adults
Alongside my therapy training, I also have lived experience of sex work and have worked professionally in sexual health and community-based roles, which informs my practice with nuance, respect, and care.
I am a registered member of the BACP and engage in regular clinical supervision as part of ethical practice.
Professional Boundaries
The therapeutic relationship works best when it is clearly boundaried, safe, and consistent. Sessions are a confidential, non-sexual space focused entirely on your wellbeing and support. I do not combine therapeutic work with other forms of interaction. These boundaries exist to protect the integrity of our work together.
